Delete your account.

Last updated September 5, 2026

You can delete your Boring eSIM account and its personal data at any time, from inside the app or by email. This page says exactly how, and exactly what happens to your data afterwards.

1. Delete it in the app

This is the quickest way, and it takes effect immediately.

Open the Boring eSIM app, go to the Account tab, sign in if you are not already, and tap Delete Profile. The app asks you to confirm, because there is no undo. Once you confirm, the account is gone and you are signed out.

2. Or ask us by email

Email team@boringesim.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. You do not need the app, and you do not need to be signed in anywhere. We do this within 30 days and write back when it is done.

We may ask you to confirm from the account's own email address. That is only to be sure we are not deleting someone else's account.

3. What gets deleted

Your sign-in is removed straight away, so the email and password-free code that reached your account stop working the moment the deletion runs.

Your profile is stripped of personal data: the email address on it is replaced with a placeholder that identifies nobody, and any marketing preference is cleared. Your name, your email address and your referral details do not survive this.

4. What we keep, and why

Order and eSIM records stay, with no personal data attached to them. They are kept because we are legally required to keep an accounting trail: for UK tax purposes that is six years from the end of the relevant financial year. After that they are deleted too.

What is left in those records is the fact that an order happened, what it cost and which eSIM profile it used. It is not linked to you any more, and it cannot be used to identify you.

We never held your card number in the first place. Payments are processed by Stripe, and card details go to them, never to us. Stripe keeps its own transaction records under its own retention rules.

5. What deleting does to your plans

Deleting your account ends any eSIM plans still on it, including days you have paid for and not used. There is no way to get them back afterwards, so if you are mid-trip, finish the trip first.

If you want a refund rather than a deletion, ask support before you delete. Our refund rules are in the terms of service.

6. Questions

Anything about your data goes to team@boringesim.com and a human replies. The full picture of what we collect and why is in our privacy policy.
