Terms of service.

The short version: you buy days of unlimited data, the plan starts when you land, and nothing renews on its own. The rest is detail, and it is below, written to be read.

1. Who we are

Boring eSIM is run by Boring Esim Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 24-26 Regent Place, Birmingham B1 3NJ, United Kingdom, and you can reach us at team@boringesim.com. Buying a plan, or using the app or this site, means you agree to these terms.

2. What the service is

We sell prepaid travel eSIM data plans. You pick a destination and a number of days, and for each of those days the plan carries unlimited data for normal travel use, subject to the fair use rules in section 6. There is a high fair use limit that most travellers never reach; if it is reached, data can be slowed or stopped until the plan's next day begins or the plan ends.

Plans are data only. They do not include calls, texts or a phone number, and your usual SIM and number are untouched.

3. Ordering and activation

Plans are bought in the app. Install the eSIM before you fly, over wifi, because installing needs an internet connection and the departure lounge is a bad place to discover that.

The plan activates on its first connection to a supported network at your destination, and your days count from that moment. A plan must be activated within 30 days of purchase; after that it expires.

4. Pricing and payment

The app shows one price for the destination and the exact number of days you pick, from 1 to 30, in the currency you have chosen: USD, EUR, GBP, TRY, JPY, AUD, CAD or AED. Plans are charged in that currency via our payment providers at checkout. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay; where tax applies, it is included in that total. There is no subscription and no auto-renew.

5. Refunds

If a plan is unused and unactivated, ask support within 14 days of purchase and we refund it. Once a plan has activated, we refund at our discretion and only where the service itself failed, for example a plan that never came online at the destination.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used. To ask, email team@boringesim.com from the address on the order.

6. Fair use

Unlimited means unlimited for a person travelling with a phone, not for machines or a business feed. Normal use is unlimited for the days on your plan. There is a high fair use limit that most travellers never reach; if it is reached, data can be slowed or stopped until the plan's next day begins or the plan ends.

Plans are for your own personal use and may not be resold, and the service may only be used lawfully. We can suspend or end a plan that is being resold, abused, or used for anything unlawful.

7. Credits and referral rewards

Credits and referral rewards are promotional. They have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, except through the published payout process for programme partners described in section 8. We can adjust or remove credits earned through abuse, for example self-referrals or fraudulent orders.

8. Creators and partners

If you join the creator or partner programme, commissions accrue as shown in your dashboard. Payouts can be requested from $50 and are paid after a short review. We can withhold or adjust commissions tied to refunded, fraudulent or abusive orders, and we can change or close the programme with reasonable notice.

9. Our liability

The service is provided as it is. Mobile coverage is delivered by local carriers we do not control, so we cannot promise a particular speed or signal in a particular place. We are not liable for your device's compatibility, for a phone locked to a carrier, or for coverage and roaming decisions made by carriers at your destination.

Our total liability in connection with any plan is capped at the amount you paid us for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

10. Your account

You can delete your account in the app, or by emailing team@boringesim.com. Deleting your account ends any plans still on it. What happens to your personal data is described in our privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change matters, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top is the date of the current version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live elsewhere as a consumer, you keep any protections your local law does not let you give up.
