Football match days take parts of the internet offline
Since the 2024/25 season, Commercial Court No. 6 of Barcelona has allowed LaLiga to have IP addresses blocked while matches are on. Movistar, MasOrange, Vodafone and Digi apply them. Because addresses are shared, unrelated sites go down with them. Vercel has documented its own customers being blocked, among them Tinybird and Hello Magazine. The 2026/27 season opened on 15 August 2026, with a peak of about 550 blocked addresses around midnight. The authorisation covers three seasons and is expected to end on 20 June 2027, the last Segunda Division match.
Will it work on your phone?
iPhone XS or newer, and most Android handsets from the last few years. If your phone is locked to a carrier it has to be unlocked first, and that is true of any eSIM, including ours.

Where do I buy an eSIM for Spain?

Do I keep my own number?
Yes. Boring eSIM runs alongside the SIM already in your phone, so calls, texts, WhatsApp and iMessage stay on your usual number. The eSIM only carries data.
What does unlimited actually mean?
Unlimited data for every day on your plan. There is no gigabyte allowance to run down and no add-on to buy when it runs out, because it does not run out. When the days end, the plan ends.
How is it priced?
Pick a destination and the exact number of days, from 1 to 30, and the app shows one price for that trip in your currency: USD, EUR, GBP, TRY, JPY, AUD, CAD or AED. That price is what you pay. Nothing else is added.
What happens when my days run out?
Nothing happens on its own. There is no contract and no auto-renew. Add more days in the app, or leave it and carry on with your normal SIM.
Can I use one plan in more than one country?
Each plan covers its own destination. If you are crossing several countries, buy a plan for each, or add more days to the one you are using. Everything is done in the app.
